Sexual Battery Case Against Lady Lake Man Dismissed

Reports have confirmed that a Lady Lake man will not be prosecuted in a sexual battery case involving his wife’s friend.

A woman accused the man of lifting her dress, grabbing her breast, and touching her inappropriately on Independence Day. She also accused the man of forcing her to stoke his penis. The woman said the man and his wife had been at her home for dinner, and the incident occurred after the man’s wife left early because she was tired.

The man was arrested on July 8 on a first-degree felony sexual battery charge.

The woman claims she waited to file a report because the man’s wife is her best friend and she did not want to ruin their friendship.

Reports show that State Attorney Brad King announced that the charge of sexual battery against the 43-year-old man was dropped due to the fact that the case does not merit prosecution.

Court records show that the $25,000 bail the man posted following his arrest has been refunded.
