Man Receives 20 Years for Distributing Child Porn and Child Molestation

A federal court recently sentenced a 30-year-old Wildwood man to 20 years in prison for distributing child pornography.

He allegedly mentioned in an Internet chat that he was molesting a three-year-old child.

The man pleaded guilty to the child porn charges on April 17, 2012.

Details of the Crime Charges in Florida

On November 2, 2011, ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Cocoa Beach received a tip from a Georgia investigator about someone in Florida using an internet chat service to trade child porn.

The individual claimed to be molesting a 3-year-old. ICE HSI investigated and traced the internet activity to the man’s girlfriend’s home in Wildwood, where he was living.

The Wildwood Police Department teamed up with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and obtained a search warrant.

The man executed the warrant, and the authorities arrested him. Police claim the evidence found confirmed the man had been distributing child porn and had molested a young child.
